Ready to get in shape for elevation gain? Art of Cycling’s Indoor Climbing Camp features targeted coaching and workouts designed to turn you into a skilled, confident, and efficient climber. Each session includes a short lecture that explains core concepts and how you can apply them to hone your technique. We will also discuss heart rate, power, and cadence as it relates to climbing, and how you can use these metrics to your advantage. Workouts are written to train the energy systems required for efficient climbing, and each athlete will work in their own zones. Topics include: pacing, biomechanics, and intervals to improve strength and form on the bike. Appropriate for all-levels, from beginner through advanced.

"I purchased a road bike two years ago, with a strong desire to learn how to ride but limited knowledge of road cycling. I was fortunate to meet Kristen through Women's Cycling NYC, and she and Lisa have been a godsend throughout my progression! From bike handling clinics to helping me make the leap to riding clipless, and learning all about riding smarter through the Training with Metrics and Indoor Climbing Camp classes, I've gained the skills and confidence needed to co-lead NYCC's SIG program. Their coaching has improved my power, bike handling, and climbing abilities. This wouldn't have been possible without their guidance, support and belief in me as a cyclist. Beyond being fantastic coaches, they are genuinely great people and an amazing asset to cycling in the NYC area. Their passion shines through in every session!"

"Art of Cycling's excellent Indoor Cycling Camp is simply the best thing you can do to up your hill game! Coaches Kristen and Lisa have developed a comprehensive 4-week plan that teaches you a range of techniques so you can climb with strength and confidence. The camp is progressive, so each week builds on your new skills—and the techniques are taught in digestible chunks, so you never feel overwhelmed. Kristen and Lisa are also two of the nicest people on the planet—working with them is such a fun experience and that makes all the difference when you are working hard at something! Both are multi-talented on their own, have wonderful energy and warm, positive vibes. So many cyclists freak when they see a hill. After learning to climb with AOC, I say "Give it to me, baby!!"
